Sound Leisure Welcomes New Apprentice Polisher and Sprayer

Leeds, UK – Sound Leisure is delighted to announce that Kevin, our expert polisher and sprayer, has welcomed a new apprentice to the workshop – his son Stuart. This family moment marks the start of an exciting chapter in our Leeds manufacturing facility.

From UTC Leeds to Sound Leisure Workshop
Stuart’s apprenticeship began at UTC Leeds (University Technical College), a partner institution with whom we collaborate to nurture future engineering and manufacturing talent. Even before officially joining our team, Stuart impressed us by completing two hands-on projects set for UTC Leeds students.

Early Achievements in Spraying and Polishing
After just a few weeks of on-the-job training, Stuart has already sprayed his first fully finished rocket cabinet, alongside several smaller pieces. His attention to detail and steady hand suggest he has inherited Kevin’s gift for craftsmanship.

Passing Down Generations of Craft Skills
There’s something uniquely rewarding about watching skills transfer from one generation to the next. For Kevin, mentoring his son Stuart in spray-gun techniques and polishing methods is a proud continuation of family tradition.

Looking Ahead
As Stuart settles into his role as polisher apprentice, we anticipate many more milestones. His early success underlines Sound Leisure’s commitment to investing in future talent, maintaining high standards of quality, and supporting local apprenticeship schemes.
