Supporting the Next Generation of Engineers with UTC Leeds

For a number of years, we’ve been proud to work alongside our local University Technical College, UTC Leeds, helping to give students real, hands on experience in manufacturing.

We currently have three T Level students with us on work experience, and they’re doing a lot more than just making cups of tea and sweeping the floor.

From assembling jukeboxes by hand to learning how every part fits together, they’re getting involved in the real manufacturing process. Along the way, they’re discovering that the quickest way isn’t always the right way, and that craftsmanship, patience, and attention to detail are at the heart of everything we build.

All three students have been a real credit to themselves and to UTC Leeds. They’ve shown a fantastic attitude, picked up new skills quickly, and thrown themselves into every task we’ve given them. It’s been great to see their confidence and abilities grow as they’ve gained hands on experience on the factory floor.

We’re passionate about supporting the next generation of engineers and manufacturers, and programmes like T Levels give students the opportunity to experience what a career in British manufacturing is really like.

We look forward to seeing how all three continue to develop during the rest of their time with us, and we wish them every success in their future careers.
