By train:
The nearest railway station to the factory is Cross Gates, which is approximately a 20-minute walk or around five minutes by taxi. Cross Gates is one stop from Leeds railway station on the York line.
By bus:
The 164 and 165 services run from Leeds city centre through Cross Gates and stop at Sandleas Way, very close to the Sound Leisure factory.
As bus routes and timetables can change, we recommend checking the latest journey information before travelling.
Is there accommodation nearby?
Yes. Thorpe Park Hotel & Spa is located nearby, approximately two miles from the factory, and is a convenient option for visitors travelling from further afield.
There are also a number of hotels in Leeds city centre, with direct rail connections from Leeds to Cross Gates. Our factory is approximately a 20 minute drive from the city centre
Are there places to eat nearby?
There are several restaurants and cafés close to the factory, particularly around The Springs shopping complex that is located at Thorpe Park, approximately one mile away. Nearby options include Caballero Lounge, Riva Blu, Wagamama and Franco’s at Thorpe Park.
Is the factory tour accessible?
Yes. The factory is all on the ground floor level and access from the carpark is via a shallow ramp.
What should I wear for the factory tour?
As this is a working factory, we recommend wearing flat, comfortable and suitable footwear. Open-toed shoes are not permitted.
During the winter months, some areas of the factory can feel cold, so we recommend bringing a coat or jumper if you tend to feel the cold.
The factory can also be noisy at times. If you are sensitive to loud environments, we recommend bringing suitable hearing protection.
Age Restrictions
The tour is suitable for adults and older children. Children under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.
Photography and Filming
Photography is permitted in designated areas only. Filming and photography may be restricted in certain parts of the factory for safety or commercial reasons.
What time should I arrive?
We recommend arriving 15 minutes before your scheduled tour is due to begin.
What happens if I need to cancel or change my booking?
Cancellations or date changes requested more than 48 hours before the scheduled tour can receive a full refund or be moved to another available tour date.
Cancellations or changes requested within 48 hours of the tour are non-refundable but can be rescheduled.
Alternative dates are subject to availability.
Will I receive my factory tour tickets in the post?
Tour tickets are sent by email as a downloadable file rather than by post. It is worth checking your spam folder, as confirmation emails can sometimes end up there.
You do not need to bring your tickets on the day. Simply provide your name when you arrive, and we will check you in. The downloadable tickets can be printed if you would like to give them as a gift.
